Vanguard Assurance, a member of the Vanguard Group was established in the year 1974 and takes pride in being the first indigenous, composite, insurance company in Ghana. Over the years, the company has expanded its portfolio from life and fire insurance to a larger number of life and non-life insurance products.

Vanguard Assurance Co. Ltd, has, over the years, been a major contributor to the establishment of other financial institutions and insurance companies such as CAL Bank, Ghana Leasing Company, Juaben Rural Bank, Consolidated Discount House Securities Ltd and its very own Vanguard Life Assurance Co. Ltd.
